Köln
Cologne (Koln) is Germany's fourth largest city, set on the Rhine. Its history reaches back to Roman times, and today it has more than a million inhabitants. It is famous for its magnificent Gothic cathedral, the symbol of the city, and for its many museums and galleries. Cologne is also an important cultural and economic centre. A temperate climate with mild winters (around 0-5 °C) and warm summers (20-25 °C) makes spring and summer the best time to visit.
